I agree with what you said about pacing. Growing up with the manga I felt like the anime sped up some story beats a little too. There definitely were a lot more little moments in the manga that I miss when I watch the anime

That old maid is at fault for so much! It's not like Akito's mother would have been the one to take care of her and she makes it quite clear that it's Akito's right to treat the zodiac members however she wanted so you know she was never taught that it was wrong to hurt others. The only one who told her to be nice and the bonds weren't the same as love was her mother but she said it in the most evil and vile way that Akito would never believe her. I love seeing Akito change and her announcing she going to have the cat's house torn down was just awesome.

Do you think 7:22 is the point where the curse broke for Kyo? It looks similar to the way Kureno's broke I find it interesting that the last one to die is the first one to call the bond/promise a curse. Do you think, or is it explicitly stated in the manga, that Akito was the only "god" on the other side of the promise? Or were there other ones before her? It's ironic that a story with the theme that things end (16:00), people watching it really don't want it to end. Is there a specific dialect or style of speech Kakeru speaks in? Like how Tohru and Motoko speak in Keigo. But Kakeru sounds really different from everyone else.
